"Students learning
from students"

This year the Virtual Travel Agency is expanding their focus to emphasis peer to peer collaborations. This is also called classroom to classroom or school to school videoconferencing. Basically, it is students learning from students.

We are working on anything from smaller regional collaborations to nationalwide projects. In 2002, Fairview participated in the "Junior Zoo Guides" a project involving the Bronx Zoo in New York.

In 2003 we had a huge response to Read Across America, a nationwide collaboration celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday in March. I am proud to say that now we have a steady and enthusiastic participation in RAA every March.

Fourth grades enjoy participating in the Michigan Week Projects. If your school is interested, contact the Virtual Travel Agency.

A comprehensive list of scheduled projects may be found at TWICE's website.

A current list of collaboration requests can be found at CILC's website.
